Nostradamus did not actually predict anything. When he gave specific dates, he was badly wrong. Charlatans mistransalate this 16th century charlatan to make it seem he predicted events centuries before they happened. Notice that they always do that after it happens and never before. That is the way prophecy works, i.e. prophets say something ambiguous that can be interpreted several ways and say after something happens that it was predicted.

We who populate this planet have been on a continual quest to understand the future by studying the past.
