Did Nostradamus predict 9/11 ?

Personally I think it is a load of cobblers, as the original French writings were very vague and ambiguous, and can be translated many ways (depending on how you want it to read), but hey it’s something to discuss and it’s better than the Da Vinci Code…
If Nostradamus predicted 9/11 then why didn’t we stop it? His so called Predictions are only noticed after the fact.

We who populate this planet have been on a continual quest to understand the future by studying the past.
