Using an account vigesimal, the Long Count calendar identifies a day by counting the number of days from August 11, 3114 a. C. in the proleptic Gregorian or September 6, 3114 a. C. In the Julian calendar (-3113 years astronomical numbering). The most commonly accepted correlation is the "Goodman, Martinez, Thompson" correlation (correlation GMT). The GMT correlation establishes that the date of creation occurred on 6 0.0.0.0.0 September, 3114 a. C. (Julian) or 11 August 3114 a. C. (Gregorian), Julian day number (JDN) 584 283. This correlation is consistent with astronomy, carbon ethnographic and historical sources dating. The date December 21, 2012, is only the end of the current cycle (B'aktun) the Mayan calendar. No prediction made doomsday. None of the claims by the doomsday prophets are based on science, just a wild speculation. People who write books are not scientific and are trying to make money. Never mentioned the 2012 and all Nostradamus "quotes" that occurs around are not what they actually wrote. They are what some have decided that meant. Even Nostradamus scholars do not agree on how the quartets different centuries and should be interpreted. The Bible never mentions that the references 2012 or in any way. Talk of recent times, but no mention of when. Nibiru / Planet X does not exist. Planet X is a name that was used in the search for an unknown planet. Zecharia Sitchin is not a scientist, but is an author of books promoting the ancient astronaut theory of human origin. He attributes the creation of the Sumerian culture to the Annunaki (or Nephilim) from a hypothetical planet named Nibiru in the solar system. The doomsayers predicted it would hit Earth in 2003. Undaunted when it was presented, only moved to 2012 to coincide with the end of the current Mayan calendar cycle. The Sun is not going to be aligned with the center of the galaxy. No current planetary alignment. Sometimes the planets seem to be aligned in our vision of heaven. This is a long way from the real alignment in space. Geomagnetic investment – These magnetic field reversals have occurred in the past, evidenced by the creation of tapes, but can not predict when they will happen again.
